The Bare Arms Theatrical Firearms Courses are designed to give performers the competence and the confidence to handle firearms safely in a theatrical setting. Each course is 3 days long, utilises real weaponry and live ammunition, on some of the best civilian ranges in the UK. Our courses are the only courses in the UK to use full-bore live ammunition on real ranges and our instructors are ex-military with front-line combat experience who now work as theatrical armourers and military advisers. Our firearms training courses are designed for actors and performers and have been running since 2017.

Learn how to hold and load multiple Handguns, Rifles & Shotguns while moving like a professional feeling confident that when that on-screen opportunity comes, you will be competent and safe to perform like a pro.

Our courses have been designed by our Theatrical Firearms instructors who have trained and consulted with UK police, UK & US Military, & Film Armourers to make the training relevant, fun and great value for money.

Once you have completed either of our main firearms courses, you are welcome to join our Firearms Elite course, a weekly supportive skills session designed to polish your skills, keep them fresh and allow you to explore more advanced techniques.

Our Mission is to provide you with accessible Tactical Military Training for aspiring or trained actors across the Northwest U.K. We can also provide Military Advisors with an array of military skills and qualifications across a range of productions.

1. Bronze - An introduction to weapons handling and safety on set. Using blank firing and high velocity weapons on a military 25m firearms range, actors are taught to shoot to a level of a UK Police firearms officer in both the Glock 17 handgun and the G36C Carbine in both uniform and CID scenarios. The best way for an actor to display a high level of safety and authenticity on set is to actually be taught the principles of shooting.
